Record a Flick · Pricing · Loom alternative · About
Record your screen in the browser, send one link, and they hit play. No extension, no app, no account to watch.
What you get
- Screen, camera, or both: Pick a screen, a window, or a tab. Add a camera bubble if you want your face on it.
- Nothing to install: It runs in a desktop browser. Chrome works. No extension and no desktop app.
- A share link: Publish and copy one link. Paste it in email, Slack, or a text.
- A player anyone can open: The watch page plays the clip with speed control. Viewers never sign up.
- Your file, free: Download the recording to this device any time, paid or not.
- Flat price: One price to publish as many Flicks as you need, not a per-seat bill.
How it works
- Open the recorder: Go to Record and choose screen, camera, or both.
- Talk over it: Space pauses. Esc stops. Up to 15 minutes per clip on a paid plan, 2 minutes on the free publish.
- Publish the link: Your first short publish is free. Lights or Marquee lets you publish as many Flicks as you need.
- They hit play: No account, no request-access screen. They watch, and you skip the meeting.
Pricing
Lights $19/mo: publish as many Flicks as you need, 15 minutes / 100 MB per clip, cancel anytime. Or Marquee $99 once, same limits. Free: record, download, and publish one 2-minute clip.
Questions
Do the people I send it to need an account?
No. Anyone with the link can watch. There is no signup wall and no request-access screen.
Do I have to install anything?
No. Flick records in a desktop browser with no extension or app. Chrome works. Many phones cannot share a screen from the browser, so record on a computer.
What is free?
Recording, downloading the file, and one published link up to 2 minutes and 25 MB. Watching is always free.
What do I get for $19 a month?
Lights lets you publish as many Flicks as you need, up to 15 minutes and 100 MB per clip. Cancel anytime.
Is there a one-time option?
Yes. Marquee is $99 once, with the same limits as Lights and no subscription.
Is it priced per user?
No. The license unlocks publishing on the device you bought it on, whatever your headcount. Your library is kept on that device.
What does Flick not do?
No editing beyond record, pause, and stop. No transcripts, captions, or AI summaries. No team library, comments, or viewer analytics. If you need those, a larger video platform fits better.
